Healthy Food. Healthy Economy
The Local Food Project
The local food project is an economic development plan that focuses on the growth and sustainability of the Inland Empire economy. We do this by launching the Inland Empire's 1st grocery market cooperative that is driven on the mission to develop a local food system. Our goal is to take the Grow Riverside Model and expand it throughout the Inland Empire by building a grocery market that will brand a new economic model for the region.
To launch this project IE 2030 will raise capital through membership fees, fundraiser events and cooperative membership dues. The project will also focus on a key component of partnering with key businesses to help develop a startup ecosystem built on local food manufacturing and distribution.
